Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets transcription factor SOX-18 (gene SOX18) in human, monkey, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 40.9 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 41 kDa.
Transcription factor SOX-18 (SOX18) is a SoxF group HMG-box activator that is essential for cardiovascular development and the formation of lymphatic vessels. It switches on PROX1 and other lymphatic endothelial genes to trigger lymphatic differentiation and also works in postnatal angiogenesis alongside SOX17.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human Jurkat cells, human COLO-320 cells, human HeLa cells, human HepG2 cells, monkey COS-7 cells, rat heart tissue, rat lung tissue, rat liver tissue, mouse lung tissue, mouse liver tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.25 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): HepG2 cells.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): HepG2 cells.

Recombinant human SOX18 fragment (Glu63–Glu362), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, monkey, mouse and rat. UniProt places transcription factor SOX-18 in the nucleus. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Detected in heart, lung, placenta, skeletal muscle, liver, kidney, spleen, prostate, ovary, msosmall intestine and colon. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
