Product Overview
Clone DCD-19 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes transcription factor SOX-18 (gene SOX18) in human samples and is validated for Western blot and IHC. The predicted molecular weight is 40.9 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 41 kDa.
Transcription factor SOX-18 (SOX18) is a SoxF group HMG-box activator that is essential for cardiovascular development and the formation of lymphatic vessels. It switches on PROX1 and other lymphatic endothelial genes to trigger lymphatic differentiation and also works in postnatal angiogenesis alongside SOX17.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human K562 cells, human COLO 320 cells, human HepG2 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 1:500 overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places transcription factor SOX-18 in the nucleus. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Detected in heart, lung, placenta, skeletal muscle, liver, kidney, spleen, prostate, ovary, msosmall intestine and colon. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
