Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets transcription factor SOX-4 (gene SOX4) in human and mouse samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 47.3 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 47 kDa.
Transcription factor SOX-4 (SOX4) is a SoxC group HMG-box activator that binds AACAAAG-type DNA motifs. It supports lymphocyte development, including maturation of IL-17-producing gamma-delta T cells, and contributes to neural and muscle differentiation, so it is studied in development and in tumors where it is often overexpressed.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): MCF-7 cells, 293T cells, mouse brain tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 50 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:10000, ECL detection.

Synthetic peptide from the N-terminal region of human SOX4. The peptide sequence is conserved in mouse.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human and mouse. UniProt places transcription factor SOX-4 in the nucleus. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Testis, brain, and heart. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
