Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets transcription factor SOX-9 (gene SOX9) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot and ELISA.
Transcription factor SOX-9 (SOX9) is an HMG-box factor that is essential for chondrocyte differentiation and skeletal development, activating cartilage matrix genes such as COL2A1 and aggrecan. It is also required for Sertoli cell development in male sex determination and for many other organs, making SOX9 a widely used marker in cartilage, testis and stem cell research.

Immunogen
Recombinant human SOX9 fragment (Met1–Gln496), expressed in E. coli. Sequence identity with the mouse and rat orthologs: 97% and 96%, respectively.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places transcription factor SOX-9 in the nucleus.
