Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets transcription factor Sp3 in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for IHC and Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 81.9 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 82 kDa.
Transcription factor Sp3 (SP3) is an Sp family zinc finger protein that binds GC and GT boxes in promoters and competes with SP1 for these sites. Depending on the isoform and post-translational modifications, it can act as an activator or a repressor, influencing genes involved in the cell cycle, hormone responses and housekeeping functions.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): PC-12 cells, HEPA cells, HeLa cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): mouse lung tissue, rat lung tissue, human intestinal cancer tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
