Product Overview
Clone DCI-19 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes proto-oncogene tyrosine-protein kinase Src in human and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC and ICC/IF. The predicted molecular weight is 59.8 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 60 kDa.
Src is a non-receptor tyrosine kinase that relays signals from integrins, growth factor receptors and other cell-surface receptors to pathways controlling adhesion, migration, proliferation and survival. Autophosphorylation at Tyr419 in the activation loop (Tyr416 in chicken numbering) marks the active kinase, so phospho-Tyr419 antibodies are used as a readout of Src activity.
