Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets protein phosphatase Slingshot homolog 1 (gene SSH1) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 115.5 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 150 kDa.
Protein phosphatase Slingshot homolog 1 (SSH1) removes the inhibitory phosphate from cofilin, reactivating this actin-depolymerizing factor. It thereby counters LIM kinase signaling and promotes actin filament turnover, and it is studied in cell migration and cytoskeletal dynamics.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HeLa cells, human 293T cells, human Jurkat cells, human Raji cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): U2OS cells.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): 293T cells.

Recombinant human SSH1 fragment (Glu489–Tyr921), expressed in E. coli. Sequence identity with the mouse ortholog: 66.9%.
Reactivity Notes
