Product Overview
Clone 24S33 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes stanniocalcin-1 (gene STC1) in human samples and is validated for Western blot and immunoprecipitation. The predicted molecular weight is 27.6 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 31–37 kDa.
Stanniocalcin-1 (STC1) is a secreted glycoprotein hormone first identified in fish, where it controls calcium balance. In mammals it is expressed in many tissues and influences phosphate reabsorption in the kidney, and it is studied in calcium and phosphate homeostasis, stress responses and cancer.

Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human STC1.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt describes stanniocalcin-1 as a secreted protein. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed in most tissues, with the highest levels in ovary, prostate, heart, kidney and thyroid. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
