Product Overview
Clone IOO-19 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes small ubiquitin-related modifier 4 (gene SUMO4) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF, immunoprecipitation and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 10.7 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 15 kDa.
SUMO-4 is a small ubiquitin-like modifier related to SUMO-2/3 that is expressed mainly in the kidney and immune tissues. Under oxidative stress it can be conjugated to stress-defense proteins and has been reported to modify IκBα and dampen NF-κB activity. A SUMO4 variant has been studied for association with type 1 diabetes.
