Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects synaptoporin (gene SYNPR) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, flow cytometry and ELISA.
Synaptoporin (SYNPR) is a membrane protein of small synaptic vesicles that belongs to the synaptophysin family. It is thought to form or contribute to a vesicular channel, and its restricted expression in certain brain regions makes it useful in studies of synaptic vesicle composition.

Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Immunogen
Recombinant human Synaptoporin/SYNPR fragment (Met1–Ile265), expressed in E. coli. Sequence identity with the mouse and rat orthologs: 95.8% and 98.1%, respectively.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places synaptoporin in the synapse.
