Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects ras/Rap GTPase-activating protein SynGAP (gene SYNGAP1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, flow cytometry and ELISA.
SynGAP (SYNGAP1) is an abundant postsynaptic density protein at excitatory synapses that acts as a GTPase-activating protein for Ras and Rap. Associated with the NMDA receptor complex, it restrains Ras signaling and shapes AMPA receptor trafficking and synaptic plasticity, and SYNGAP1 variants are an established cause of intellectual disability, making it a focus of neurodevelopment research.
