Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes syntaxin-12 (gene STX12) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 31.6 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 37 kDa.
Syntaxin-12 (STX12, also called syntaxin-13) is an endosomal SNARE that mediates fusion of transport vesicles. Together with syntaxin-6 it supports recycling of membrane proteins from endosomes back to the cell surface, and in neurons it helps route AMPA receptor subunit GluA2 toward recycling.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human LNCAP cells, human MDA-MB-453 cells, human 293T cells, human PC-3 cells, rat brain tissue, rat heart tissue, mouse brain tissue, mouse heart tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): human cerebral cortex tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): HeLa cells.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): 293T cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human Syntaxin 12/STX12 fragment (Lys103–Lys245), expressed in E. coli. Sequence identity with the mouse and rat orthologs: 95.1% and 93.7%, respectively.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places syntaxin-12 in the endosome membrane, Golgi apparatus membrane and endomembrane system. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
