Product Overview
Clone 21S16 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes syntaxin-4 (gene STX4) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 34.2 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 34 kDa.
Syntaxin-4 (STX4) is a plasma membrane SNARE that mediates docking and fusion of transport vesicles. In adipocytes and muscle it is needed for insulin-stimulated movement of the glucose transporter GLUT4 to the cell surface, and it also contributes to insulin secretion and to delivery of the dopamine transporter in neurons.
