Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects T-cell differentiation antigen CD6 in human samples and is validated for Western blot, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 71.8 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 135 kDa.
CD6 is a scavenger receptor cysteine-rich glycoprotein on T cells and some B cells that binds ALCAM (CD166). It supports stable contact between T cells and antigen-presenting cells and modulates T-cell receptor signaling, and it is studied in T-cell activation and autoimmune inflammation.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human MOLT-4 cells, human HEL cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): Jurkat cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human T12/CD6 fragment (Glu133–Gln608), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places T-cell differentiation antigen CD6 in the cell membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Detected on thymocytes. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
