Product Overview
Clone 27T75 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes TATA-binding protein-associated factor 2N (gene TAF15) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 61.8 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 75 kDa.
TAF15 is an RNA- and single-stranded DNA-binding protein of the FET family, together with FUS and EWSR1. It can associate with RNA polymerase II and is thought to act at specific promoters during transcription initiation, and it is studied in RNA processing, fusion oncogenes and neurodegenerative disease.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HeLa cells, human 293T cells, human K562 cells, human RT4 cells, rat PC-12 cells, rat NRK cells, mouse HEPA1–6 cells, mouse RAW264.7 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 1:500 overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:1000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): human colorectal adenocarcinoma tissue, human liver cancer tissue, human placenta tissue, human prostate cancer tissue, human spleen tissue, human cervix squamous cells carcinoma tissue, diffuse large B-cells lymphoma of human intestine tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): HeLa cells.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human TAF15.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places TATA-binding protein-associated factor 2N in the nucleus and cytoplasm. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Ubiquitous. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
