Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets T-cell acute lymphocytic leukemia protein 1 (gene TAL1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 34.3 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 40–45 kDa.
TAL1 (also called SCL) is a basic helix-loop-helix transcription factor essential for the specification of blood stem cells and for erythroid and megakaryocyte development. It was first identified through chromosomal rearrangements in T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia, and it remains a key subject in hematopoiesis and leukemia research.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.1–0.25 µg/mL (Human, Mouse, Rat) |
|---|---|
| Flow cytometry (fixed cells) | 1–3 µg/1×106 cells (Human) |
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human Jurkat cells, human HEL cells, human MOLT-4 cells, rat lung tissue, rat spleen tissue, mouse lung tissue, mouse spleen tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.25 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): HEL cells.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide from the C-terminal region of human TAL1. Sequence identity with the mouse and rat orthologs: 82.4%.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places T-cell acute lymphocytic leukemia protein 1 in the nucleus. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Leukemic stem cell. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
