Product Overview
Clone 30T29 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes serine/threonine-protein kinase TAO1 (gene TAOK1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 116.1 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 116 kDa.
TAO kinase 1 (TAOK1) is a serine/threonine kinase of the STE20 family. It activates the p38 MAPK cascade by phosphorylating MAP2K3 and MAP2K6, contributes to the DNA damage checkpoint, and regulates microtubule stability through MARK2, so it is studied in stress signaling, apoptosis and neuronal development.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places serine/threonine-protein kinase TAO1 in the cytoplasm. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Highly expressed in the testis, and to a lower extent also expressed in brain, placenta, colon and skeletal muscle.
