Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes taste receptor type 2 member 10 (gene TAS2R10) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA.
Taste receptor type 2 member 10 (TAS2R10) is one of the human bitter taste receptors, a G protein-coupled receptor that responds to compounds such as strychnine. It signals through gustducin, PLCβ2 and the TRPM5 channel, and bitter receptors like it are studied in taste cells and in extra-oral tissues such as the gut.

Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Immunogen
Recombinant human TAS2R10 fragment (Glu16–Thr307), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places taste receptor type 2 member 10 in the membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed in subsets of taste receptor cells of the tongue and palate epithelium and exclusively in gustducin-positive cells.
