Product Overview
Clone AFFA-20 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes T-cell leukemia/lymphoma protein 1A (gene TCL1A) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 13.5 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 13 kDa.
TCL1A is a small protein expressed in early lymphocytes that binds Akt and enhances its phosphorylation and activation, promoting cell survival and proliferation. It is overexpressed in T-cell prolymphocytic leukemia through chromosomal rearrangements and in some B-cell malignancies, and it is studied in lymphoma and leukemia biology.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places T-cell leukemia/lymphoma protein 1A in the cytoplasm, nucleus, microsome and endoplasmic reticulum. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Restricted in the T-cell lineage to immature thymocytes and activated peripheral lymphocytes. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
