Product Overview
Clone CEG-20 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes tenascin (gene TNC) in human samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 240.9 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 241 kDa.
Tenascin-C (TNC) is a large hexameric extracellular matrix glycoprotein that is abundant during development and largely re-expressed during injury, inflammation and tumor growth. It modulates cell adhesion and migration through integrins and other receptors and guides neuronal and axonal migration in the nervous system. Tenascin-C is studied in wound healing, tissue remodeling, neural development and the tumor microenvironment.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human fetal brain, human fetal kidney.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human tenascin C.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Detected in fibroblasts (at protein level). The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
