Product Overview

Clone 19C41 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes tetranectin (gene CLEC3B) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF and immunoprecipitation. The predicted molecular weight is 22.5 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 23 kDa.

Tetranectin (CLEC3B) is a plasma and tissue protein with a C-type lectin domain that binds plasminogen through its kringle 4 domain. Through this binding it is thought to influence plasminogen activation, and it has also been linked to exocytosis and retinal function, so it appears in studies of fibrinolysis and tissue remodeling.

Immunoprecipitation 1:50

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): rat stomach tissue, mouse stomach tissue, mouse lung tissue.

Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.

Conditions in the example images (WB): 12% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 1:500 overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:1000, ECL detection.

Immunogen

Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human tetranectin.

Reactivity Notes

The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt describes tetranectin as a secreted protein. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Found in plasma. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.

Safety

Handling: the formulation contains sodium azide as a preservative. Wear gloves, avoid contact with skin and eyes, and dispose of waste according to local regulations. For research use only; not for diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.
