Product Overview
Clone 26T01 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes trefoil factor 2 (gene TFF2) in human samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 14.3 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 16 kDa.
Trefoil factor 2 (TFF2, also called spasmolytic polypeptide) is a secreted peptide produced by gastric mucous neck cells and Brunner glands. It helps structure the gastric mucus layer, contributes to mucosal protection and repair, and is studied in gastric metaplasia and inflammation.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human stomach.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human TFF2.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt describes trefoil factor 2 as a secreted protein. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Stomach. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
