Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets trefoil factor 3 (gene Tff3) in mouse and rat samples and is validated for ELISA, ICC/IF, IHC and Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 8.8 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 12 kDa.
Trefoil factor 3 (TFF3, also called intestinal trefoil factor) is a small secreted peptide made mainly by goblet cells of the intestine. It supports maintenance and repair of the intestinal lining by promoting epithelial cell migration over wounds, and it is studied in gut barrier function and cancer.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): mouse small intestine tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 50 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:10000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): mouse colon tissue, rat colon tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): mouse intestine tissue, rat intestine tissue.

Recombinant mouse TFF3 fragment (Ala23–Phe81), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with mouse and rat. UniProt places trefoil factor 3 in the cytoplasm. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (mouse): Expressed in goblet cells of the intestines and colon (at protein level). The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
