Product Overview
Clone 17T29 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes transforming growth factor beta-1 proprotein (gene TGFB1) in human samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 44.3 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 48 kDa.
TGF-β1 is the prototypical member of the TGF-β family of cytokines. It is secreted in a latent form held by its latency-associated peptide and, once activated, signals through TGFBR1/TGFBR2 and SMAD proteins to control cell growth, differentiation, extracellular matrix production and immune tolerance, making it central to fibrosis, immunology and cancer research.
