Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets TGF-beta receptor type-2 (gene TGFBR2) in human samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 64.6 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 70 kDa.
TGF-β receptor type 2 (TGFBR2) is a constitutively active transmembrane serine/threonine kinase that binds TGF-β1, β2 and β3 directly. Ligand binding lets it recruit and phosphorylate TGFBR1, launching SMAD signaling, and TGFBR2 mutations are linked to Loeys-Dietz syndrome and to some cancers.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HepG2 cells, human A549 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.

Reactivity Notes
