Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes transforming growth factor beta-1 proprotein (gene TGFB1) in human samples and is validated for Western blot and ELISA.
TGF-β1 is the prototypical member of the TGF-β family of cytokines. It is secreted in a latent form held by its latency-associated peptide and, once activated, signals through TGFBR1/TGFBR2 and SMAD proteins to control cell growth, differentiation, extracellular matrix production and immune tolerance, making it central to fibrosis, immunology and cancer research.
