Product Overview
Clone 23T67 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes thyroid hormone receptor alpha (gene THRA) in human samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 54.8 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 55 kDa.
Thyroid hormone receptor alpha (THRA, TRα) is a nuclear receptor that binds triiodothyronine (T3) and regulates target gene transcription, repressing or activating genes depending on hormone binding. An alternative isoform that cannot bind hormone acts as a weak dominant-negative inhibitor. TRα is studied in heart rate control, bone development, metabolism and neural development.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): Jurkat cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human THRA.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places thyroid hormone receptor alpha in the nucleus and SUBCELLULAR LOCATION:. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
