Product Overview
Clone 24T21 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes thromboxane-A synthase (gene TBXAS1) in human and mouse samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 60.5 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 54 kDa.
Thromboxane-A synthase (TBXAS1) is a cytochrome P450 enzyme, found mainly in platelets, that converts prostaglandin H2 into thromboxane A2, a strong promoter of platelet aggregation and vasoconstriction. The same reaction also yields 12-HHT and malondialdehyde, and the enzyme is studied in hemostasis and cardiovascular pharmacology.
