Product Overview
Clone 21T69 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes thyroglobulin (gene TG) in human samples and is validated for Western blot and immunoprecipitation. The predicted molecular weight is 304.8 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 305 kDa.
Thyroglobulin (TG) is a very large glycoprotein made by thyroid follicular cells and stored in the follicle lumen. Selected tyrosines on thyroglobulin are iodinated and coupled to form the thyroid hormones T4 and T3, which are released after thyroglobulin is taken back up and degraded; serum thyroglobulin is also a standard marker in thyroid cancer follow-up.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 1:500–1:2000 |
|---|---|
| Immunoprecipitation | 1:50 |
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human thyroid.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human thyroglobulin.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt describes thyroglobulin as a secreted protein. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Specifically expressed in the thyroid gland. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
