Product Overview
Clone 24T05 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes thyroid peroxidase (gene TPO) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC and immunoprecipitation. The predicted molecular weight is 103.0 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 103 kDa.
Thyroid peroxidase (TPO) is a membrane-bound enzyme of thyroid follicular cells that uses hydrogen peroxide to attach iodine to tyrosine residues in thyroglobulin and to couple them into the thyroid hormones T3 and T4. It is a major autoantigen in Hashimoto thyroiditis, where anti-TPO antibodies are commonly measured.
