Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes angiopoietin-1 receptor (gene TEK) in human samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 125.8 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 125 kDa.
TIE2 (TEK) is a receptor tyrosine kinase on endothelial cells that binds angiopoietin-1 and angiopoietin-2. Angiopoietin-1 signaling through TIE2 promotes endothelial survival and vascular stability, while angiopoietin-2 can oppose it, making TIE2 a central subject in angiogenesis, vascular leak and lymphatic development research.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): MCF-7 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Immunogen
Recombinant human TIE2 fragment (Gln641–Ile830), expressed in E. coli. Sequence identity with the mouse ortholog: 91%.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt describes angiopoietin-1 receptor as secreted and also located in the cell membrane, cell junction and cytoplasm. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Detected in umbilical vein endothelial cells. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
