Product Overview
Clone 22T54 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes mitochondrial import inner membrane translocase subunit TIM50 (gene TIMM50) in human and mouse samples and is validated for Western blot and IHC. The predicted molecular weight is 39.6 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 36 kDa.
TIM50 (TIMM50) is a core subunit of the TIM23 translocase that acts as the main receptor for presequence-containing proteins on the intermembrane space side of the inner membrane. It guides precursors into the TIM23 channel and helps keep the channel closed when idle. TIM50 is studied in mitochondrial protein import and in inherited mitochondrial disorders.
