Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets tissue factor (gene F3) in mouse samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 32.9 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 50 kDa.
Tissue factor (F3, CD142) is a transmembrane glycoprotein that starts the extrinsic pathway of blood coagulation. When exposed to blood it binds factor VII/VIIa, and the complex activates factors IX and X. Tissue factor is expressed by cells outside the vessel wall and can be induced on monocytes and tumor cells, linking coagulation with inflammation and cancer.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): mouse lung tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 50 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Immunogen
Recombinant mouse Tissue Factor fragment (Ala29–Ala294), expressed in E. coli. Sequence identity with the human and rat orthologs: 62.2% and 82.1%, respectively.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with mouse. UniProt places tissue factor in the membrane. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
