Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects transmembrane 9 superfamily member 2 (gene TM9SF2) in human and rat samples and is validated for Western blot and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 75.8 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 76 kDa.
TM9SF2 is a member of the transmembrane 9 superfamily (nonaspanins) found in the Golgi and endosomal membranes. It has been implicated in protein glycosylation, including heparan sulfate and glycosphingolipid synthesis, and in the trafficking of glycosylation enzymes. Its precise molecular function is still being defined.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HeLa cells, human THP-1 cells, rat PC-12 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.

Recombinant human TM9SF2 fragment (Arg66–Ser596), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human and rat. UniProt places transmembrane 9 superfamily member 2 in the endosome membrane and Golgi outpost. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Ubiquitously expressed. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
