| Immunogen | A synthesized peptide derived from human TMEM173 Facilitator of innate immune signaling that promotes the production of type I interferon (IFN-alpha and IFN-beta) . Innate immune response is triggered in response to non-CpG double-stranded DNA from viruses and bacteria delivered to the cytoplasm. |

Product Overview
Clone AEAO-20 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes stimulator of interferon genes protein (gene STING1) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 42.2 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 37 kDa.
STING (stimulator of interferon genes, STING1/TMEM173) is an endoplasmic reticulum adaptor in innate immunity. It is activated by cyclic dinucleotides, including cGAMP made by cGAS in response to cytosolic DNA, then moves to the Golgi and recruits TBK1 to activate IRF3 and NF-κB, driving type I interferon production. It is a major target in infection, autoinflammation and cancer immunology.

Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 1:500 overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:500, ECL detection.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human TMEM173.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places stimulator of interferon genes protein in the endoplasmic reticulum membrane, cytoplasm, Golgi apparatus membrane and endosome membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Ubiquitously expressed.
