Product Overview
Clone 30T30 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes transmembrane protein 43 (gene TMEM43) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot and IHC. The predicted molecular weight is 44.9 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 45 kDa.
TMEM43 (also called LUMA) is a multi-pass membrane protein of the inner nuclear membrane and endoplasmic reticulum. It helps organize nuclear envelope protein complexes, including retention of emerin, and has been linked to modulation of cGAS–STING innate immune signaling. A TMEM43 mutation causes arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy type 5, making it a focus of cardiac research.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human Jurkat cells, human Hacat cells, human SiHa cells, human PC-3 cells, rat C6 cells, mouse Neuro-2a cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 1:500 overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:1000, ECL detection.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places transmembrane protein 43 in the endoplasmic reticulum membrane, nucleus inner membrane and cell membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Highest expression in placenta. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
