Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes transmembrane protein 88 (gene TMEM88) in human samples and is validated for Western blot and ICC/IF. The predicted molecular weight is 17.3 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 22 kDa.
TMEM88 is a small transmembrane protein that binds Dishevelled and inhibits Wnt/β-catenin signaling. During heart development it acts downstream of GATA transcription factors in precardiac mesoderm, where Wnt inhibition is needed to specify the cardiomyocyte lineage. TMEM88 is studied in cardiogenesis and Wnt signaling.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human MCF-7 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): U2OS cells.

Reactivity Notes
