Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets mitochondrial import receptor subunit TOM70 (gene TOMM70) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 67.5 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 67 kDa.
TOM70 (TOMM70) is an outer mitochondrial membrane receptor of the TOM complex that recognizes precursor proteins with internal targeting signals, such as carrier proteins, often delivered by HSP70 and HSP90 chaperones. It also acts as a platform in antiviral signaling downstream of MAVS, supporting TBK1 and IRF3 activation.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HL-60 cells, human Caco-2 cells, human RT4 cells, human U251 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): human papillary carcinoma of the left breast tissue, human ovarian serous adenocarcinoma tissue, human bladder epithelial carcinoma tissue, human renal cancer tissue, human a differentiated adenocarcinoma of the rectum tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): A431 cells.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): Caco-2 cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human TOMM70 fragment (Asn122–Leu608), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places mitochondrial import receptor subunit TOM70 in the mitochondrion outer membrane and SUBCELLULAR LOCATION:. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
