Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects cellular tumor antigen p53 (gene TP53) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, flow cytometry and ELISA.
p53 (TP53) is a tumor suppressor transcription factor that responds to DNA damage and other stresses by activating genes for cell cycle arrest, DNA repair, senescence or apoptosis. It is mutated in about half of human cancers, making it one of the most studied proteins in cancer biology, with rat models widely used alongside human cells.
