Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects triosephosphate isomerase (gene TPI1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 30.8 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 27 kDa.
Triosephosphate isomerase (TPI1) is a glycolytic enzyme that rapidly interconverts dihydroxyacetone phosphate and glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate, allowing both products of aldolase to continue through glycolysis and gluconeogenesis. It is a classic example of a near-perfect enzyme, and TPI deficiency is a rare inherited disorder causing hemolytic anemia and neurological problems.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HeLa cells, human 293T cells, human HepG2 cells, rat liver tissue, rat kidney tissue, mouse liver tissue, mouse kidney tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.25 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): K562 cells.

Recombinant human TPI1 fragment (Met1–Gln286), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places triosephosphate isomerase in the cytoplasm. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
