Product Overview
Clone BGH-20 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes TNF receptor-associated factor 4 (gene TRAF4) in human and mouse samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 53.5 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 54 kDa.
TRAF4 is an unusual member of the TNF receptor-associated factor family that is found in the cytoplasm and at cell junctions and has E3 ligase activity. It takes part in many processes, including cell migration, EGFR and TGF-β signaling, DNA repair and platelet activation, and it is often overexpressed in carcinomas.

The supplier lists reactivity with human and mouse. UniProt places TNF receptor-associated factor 4 in the cytoplasm, nucleus, cell junction and cell membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed in epithelial cells of thymus, dendritic cells of lymph node, and in the basal cell layer of epithelia such as epidermis, nasopharynx, respiratory tract, salivary gland, and esophagus.
