Product Overview
Clone 19T07 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes transferrin receptor protein 2 (gene TFR2) in human samples and is validated for Western blot and IHC. The predicted molecular weight is 88.8 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 100 kDa.
Transferrin receptor 2 (TFR2) is a transferrin-binding membrane protein expressed mainly in hepatocytes and erythroid precursors. Rather than being a major iron importer, it acts as an iron sensor that helps regulate hepcidin, and TFR2 mutations cause type 3 hereditary hemochromatosis.

|---|---|
| Immunohistochemistry | 1:50–1:200 |
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): HepG2 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human transferrin Receptor 2.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places transferrin receptor protein 2 in the cell membrane and SUBCELLULAR LOCATION:. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Predominantly expressed in liver. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
