Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets transketolase (gene TKT) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 67.9 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 68 kDa.
Transketolase (TKT) is a thiamine pyrophosphate–dependent enzyme of the non-oxidative pentose phosphate pathway. It moves two-carbon units between sugar phosphates, linking the pentose phosphate pathway with glycolysis and supporting ribose production and NADPH balance. TKT is studied in cellular metabolism, thiamine status and cancer metabolism.

Immunogen
Recombinant human Transketolase/TKT fragment (Met1–Ala116), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
