Product Overview
Clone 28T69 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes trafficking protein particle complex subunit 2 (gene TRAPPC2) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC and ICC/IF. The predicted molecular weight is 16.4 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 16 kDa.
TRAPPC2 (also called sedlin) is a subunit of the TRAPP complexes that tether vesicles and activate Rab GTPases along the secretory pathway. It is involved in transport from the endoplasmic reticulum to the Golgi, including export of large cargo such as procollagen. TRAPPC2 mutations cause X-linked spondyloepiphyseal dysplasia tarda.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places trafficking protein particle complex subunit 2 in the cytoplasm and nucleus. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed in brain, heart, kidney, liver, lung, pancreas, placenta, skeletal muscle, fetal cartilage, fibroblasts, placenta and lymphocytes. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
