Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets TIR domain-containing adapter molecule 1 (gene Ticam1) in mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 79.2 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 110 kDa.
TRIF (TICAM1) is a TIR-domain adaptor protein used by Toll-like receptors TLR3 and TLR4 in a MyD88-independent pathway. It recruits TBK1 and other kinases to activate IRF3 and NF-κB, leading to type I interferon and inflammatory cytokine production, and can also trigger cell death. TRIF is studied in antiviral immunity, endotoxin responses and innate immune signaling.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.1–0.5 µg/mL (Mouse, Rat) |
|---|
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): rat testis tissue, mouse testis tissue, mouse thymus tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 8% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide from the N-terminal region of mouse TRIF. It differs from the human sequence at twelve residues.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with mouse and rat. UniProt places TIR domain-containing adapter molecule 1 in the cytoplasm, cytoplasmic vesicle and mitochondrion. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
