Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes NT-3 growth factor receptor (gene NTRK3) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 94.4 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 130 kDa.
TrkC (NTRK3) is the receptor tyrosine kinase for neurotrophin-3. Ligand binding triggers autophosphorylation and activation of PI3K/AKT and MAPK signaling that supports cell survival and differentiation, and TrkC is studied in nervous system development, proprioceptive neurons and NTRK fusion-positive tumors.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): rat brain tissue, mouse brain tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.

Recombinant human TrkC/NTRK3 fragment (Cys32–His486), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places NT-3 growth factor receptor in the membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Widely expressed but mainly in nervous tissue. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
