Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects probable tRNA (gene TRMT44) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 84.6 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 85 kDa.
TRMT44 is a probable S-adenosylmethionine-dependent tRNA methyltransferase predicted to modify uridine at the 2′-O position of the ribose. Its precise targets and biological role in human cells have not been fully characterized.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human K562 cells, human MOLT-4 cells, human U251 cells, human HeLa cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): 293T cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human TRMT44 fragment (Met1–Ser757), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places probable tRNA in the cytoplasm. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
