Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets tRNA (gene TRMT6) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 55.8 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 60 kDa.
TRMT6 is the non-catalytic, RNA-binding partner of TRMT61A in the enzyme that installs N1-methyladenosine (m1A) at position 58 of tRNAs, including initiator methionyl-tRNA. The same complex modifies a small set of mRNAs at tRNA-like structures, and TRMT6 is studied in tRNA stability, translation initiation and cell growth.

Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): 293T cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human TRMT6 fragment (Glu6–Lys489), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places tRNA in the nucleus. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed in brain, liver, testis and ovary. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
