Product Overview
Clone ADBI-20 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes transient receptor potential cation channel subfamily M member 8 (gene TRPM8) in human and mouse samples and is validated for Western blot and ICC/IF. The predicted molecular weight is 127.7 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 128 kDa.
TRPM8 is the main cold- and menthol-activated ion channel of sensory neurons. It opens at cool temperatures and in response to cooling compounds such as menthol and icilin, allowing cation entry that signals cold, and it is also involved in regulating tear secretion. It is studied in thermosensation, cold pain and prostate biology.
