Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes transient receptor potential cation channel subfamily V member 3 (gene TRPV3) in human samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 90.6 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 100 kDa.
TRPV3 is a warmth-activated, calcium-permeable cation channel that is highly expressed in skin keratinocytes. Its response grows with rising temperature, and signaling through TRPV3 restrains keratinocyte proliferation in hair follicles and promotes hair follicle regression, so it is studied in skin barrier function, itch and hair growth.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.25–0.5 µg/mL (Human) |
|---|
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human MDA-MB-453 cells, human PC-3 cells, human Caco-2 cells, human HeLa cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide from the N-terminal region of human TRPV3. Sequence identity with the mouse ortholog: 77.8%.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places transient receptor potential cation channel subfamily V member 3 in the cell membrane, cytoplasm and lysosome. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Abundantly expressed in CNS. Widely expressed at low levels. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
